Dear Forum Members and Matchbox Friends,

This mail is to inform you on new developments at Matchbox Forum.
We have done a major step forward in developing the catalogs further.
We did a major overhaul of the software together with finishing 98% of the pocket catalogs. We basically covered ALL pocket catalogs from 1956 until 2009 combined with an overview of all catalogs known for a specific year and a specific country.
It's the by far largest catalog ever made on pocket catalogs.
We have started to bring also the dealer catalogs on line.
You can access the Pocket Catalog information in three ways:
Go to the CATALOG page and choose MB75 and then take the year you want.
Just above the pictures of that year you will find a line with an indication whether information on
Dealer Catalogs, Pocket Catalogs, Packaging (working on that one too), Gift Set or MOY catalogs are available.
The second option is that you choose on the catalog Page the Catalog Option and choose a Year.
This option will show you ALL the information of a specific year.
The third option is to make an overview of all catalogs on line in order to print yourself a checklist.
Next to this I put a lot of software effort in for making the Word Files of C. Falkensteiner on numerous subjects more accessable.
Frequent users of the catalog saw often the DOWNLOAD button on many pages in order to download those pages. I have added a possibility to access those files (which were part of the Club CD) outside the regular Catalog. Look at the Catalog Menu for All options.
Many people have contributed to the huge improvement of our catalog. Of course there are Christian Falkensteiner but I would like to mention especially the massive work done by Irmisch Burghardt and Konrad Noniewicz for their huge contribution to the pocket catalog pictures.
Of course the Pocket Catalog CD of Col. James Smith has also been a great help to us. I tried to contact him several times, but sadly with no result.
At the same time David Becker did a great job with updating his individual Word Files on individual Matchbox items during the last 3 months.
The regular
www.mbxforum.com site is still doing well and growing.
The quality of the pictures of the NEWS site are dramatically improving thanks to the effort of a number of members!
If you have suggestions on how to improve the site please let us know. All ideas are welcome!
Happy Collecting,
