Bestbox question

My collection of Bestbox models is humble. 3 models, but those i like very much.





My questions are: is the green Jaguar an early model with silver wheels, or is the beige one older?
Is the box a promo box which you could buy at Total gas stations?

On the base of the Mercedes is written "best-box" on the Jaguars base it reads "Bestbox". Is this of any significance?

3 very good questions also!! (unfortunately I have no concrete answers, better than I think the silver wheels are the earlier models, because Efsi continued the black wheels).

The only thing I know is that I've never seen such beige colour on een Bestbox E-Type!! It must be een rare one...

Very interesting. I know very little about this brand.
While every once in a while i find EFSI models at flea markets, it seems that Bestbox models are not existant here in my corner of the world.
But for sure i would love to add more Bestbox to my collection.

Hi Tyrolese,
A very nice model this E-type, a rare colour and a beautiful box. The Bestbox models have also been issued in these Total boxes. Until now I only found some of these boxes in Germany. So I assume they were made for Total Germany and for sale at the gas stations. Perhaps anyone can confirm this?
By the way: the Bestbox models with the silver wheels are older than with the black ones.

Great to see these in such good condition.

My brother and me had a lot of Best-boxes when we were young. Including the Mercedes (dark blue and olive green) and the green Jaguar (with black wheels, though)
Most of them broke or were painted over.   I wish I had been more careful with them.

I know what you mean. Looking at my childhood survivors makes me feel the same. But the fun and joy was priceless!
