Voor de tweede maal organiseerde Snef (Sven) de najaarse oldtimerrit in Herentals.

's Morgens om 06h00 was heel het team van Sven reeds druk in de weer, en rond 06h30 was ik met Elske aanwezig om alles op foto te zetten.
Wat binnen gebeurde laat ik jullie van gespaart, maar het was er enorm druk met al die mensen in de weer.
06h45 begonnen met het fotograferen van de eerste wagens die reeds buiten stonden.

62 jaar leeftijdsverschil, oude en nieuwe technologie.

Ook de sponsors die de start-finish vlag op hoogte hielden kwamen hun nieuwe graafmachines in het donker afleveren.

Alles was voorzien: ontbijt, dranken, barbecue, tombola, stewards en een service om u tegen te zeggen.
Er waren boven verwachting rond de tweehonderd voertuigen aanwezig, wat in de late tijd van het jaar en voor een tweede editie zeer uitzonderlijk is.
Dus dat bewijst dat de organisatie vorig jaar het vertrouwen heeft gekregen van de toen aanwezige gasten, en dat via mond aan mond reclame en meer inzet het aantal deelnemers steeds toeneemt.

Ik kon er helaas niet bijzijn. We waren net 2 minuten onderweg toen er kortsluiting ontstond in de bedrading van mijn dashboard. Ik heb nu niks meer. De auto doet het nog en er is geen brand ontstaan, gelukkig. Ik heb gisteren de halve auto uit elkaar gehaald om te kijken tot waar de schade loopt. Komende zaterdag krijg ik hulp bij het opnieuw bedraden van oa het dashboard.

ps wel mooie auto's stonden er ;)
