Before you place a picture here in the Corgi Juniors cataloque, look at the base of the car first.
J numbers have Corgi text on the base or its blanck.

Early J Numbers (Corgi Toys) cars could have the Dbl5spokes .
These where leftovers from the Mettoy era before the used the 4 and 8 divisionswheels.

Late Mettoy ,before the closure of the factory ,the most have the Corgi Juniors text on the base.

Chevrolet Van bases Notification.
When the Chevrolet Van first appear they all had the text : Chevrolet Van .
by something ,Chevrolet rejected the license for Mettoy and so its appear with U.S Van .
J numbers (Corgi Toys)has the Text :U.S Van or blanck bases.

early Corgi Juniors (Mettoy) have husky bases with a label (first models) and retoold husky base with Corgi juniors text.

Numbering systems :

From the first Husky models ,Mettoy started with Number 1 .
The factory number had a prefix "A" for the small Husky,s and the prefix "B" for the larger huslky models.
The factory didnt printed these prefixes on there package or blisters.
prefix "C" came with the late new husky models for a short time when the Rockets appeared.

The Rockets had the prefix "D" such as D901 etc.
When Mettoy started the Juniors they started again with Number 1 and the number get the prefix "E" .
like E25 etc.
This prefix was used untill 1983 ,although its not always found on blisters and package during this Mettoy period .
i use these E prefix here in our cataloque as its should be .

After restart in 1983/84 ,under the new compagny name "Corgi Toys LTD" the numbering started allover again.
But now with the prefix "J" .
Only this time the J stands for JUNIORS.

Some models had differend numbers .
That was depending in what country there where sold.
About promo,s :
The most promo,s where printed by third party's such as Color Comp etc .
Models from these printingfactory's are not registrated in books nor by factory.
Models that do have a number as promo,s are made in order from a compagny and are registraded with a number.

Hallo, ik ben mijn Corgi verzameling aan het updaten. Ik wilde graag zeker weten dat de Jeep CJ-6 'Golden Eagle' alleen CORGI op de base heeft maar toch een E(12) prefix krijgt. De produktie datum is 1979-1981, dus niet echt in de overgangs fase mijnsinziens.

Nummering van modellen is volgens mij bij nagenoeg alle fabrikanten stof tot discussie. Ik ben ook eens bezig geweest met mijn Corgi's te administreren, heb meerdere boekwerken aangeschaft en kom er toch nog steeds niet uit... Ik wil de boekwerken wel even naslaan aangaande deze CJ-6 (Heb je wellicht een 0f meerdere foto's)?
